About Us
Our Story
In September of 2018, founder, Jasmine Olawole joined a girl empowerment group in high school. She then continued to participate into the following year where she decided to become more active in the community. Hearing the lives of teenage girls who needed support inspired her to create BeautyInMe. She then knew to start her own organization with the target of a larger audience. To fulfill this goal, BeautyInMe will facilitate the positivity within women in our community and globally. BeautyInMe invites you to experience a life changing approach in regards to finding your beauty.
Our Mission
BeautyInMe was created to empower women through their ideas, potential and future. We are located in the DC metropolitan area but are on a mission to help globally.
This organization was built to empower women facing challenges with self esteem, self image and self concept of who they are. Our goal is to empower and educate women and girls of their importance in unison. We are on a mission to show love and help these women feel more confident in oneself.

Our Beauty
It can mean many different things. Depending on the geographical location of standpoint, viewers might differ. Beauty standards have changed drastically over the decades and is still changing today. One common standard was being a Blonde, with blue eyes and a tight body. What happened to the girls who weren’t just that? Were they not beautiful? How is beauty defined in America? How is beauty defined in the world? Is the standard of beauty anything but who you are?Not only is this an effect to young girls but to women of all ages around the world. In 2015, Dove Soap surveyed 6400 women aged 18-64. 96% of these ladies stated that they wouldn’t use the word “beautiful” to describe themselves. Another statistic showed that 78% of these same women didn’t feel completely confident in their own beauty. BeautyInMe is here to help women who fall into this category. BeautyInMe will uplift those who feel a lack in any area. Behind every successful woman is a tribe of other successful women who have her back.” (Unknown)
Our Future
Growing up as a female can often be a challenge. Especially living in a generation where self worth is usually social media based.
For internal growth to develop in teen girls about their self confidence they must find out their abilities and talents. Girls are constantly compared to others and feel required to meet up to life’s standard. It was reported in 2016 that 4 out of 5 women suffer from low self esteem. Sadly, this number is only growing.
BeautyInMe is here to help. A fixed mindset can often give us the tendency to give up easily. As a community we’re working together to change this into a growth mindset. A growth mindset helps one believe that our abilities can be completed through hard work. We’re on a mission to show women that our hard work counts.
